Rose Peploe, Head of Interior Design at Zara Moon Architects announces their new in-house Interior Design service.

“We are all excited to announce a new chapter for ZMA – evolving our current services to offer in-house Interior Design with award winning designer Rose Peploe. With a passion for reimagining spaces, balancing the old and new, and creating spaces which reflect the architecture, Rose’s style and design ethos perfectly complements our projects.” Zara Moon

Good interior design should be simple, functional and beautiful, I love working with traditional timeless pieces, whilst introducing playfulness and expressing personality. Interiors should continue the same narrative as the architecture, working with the client to bring the vision to life.

I have spent the last 10 years honing design skills working across both commercial and residential design. Delivering Museums, Hotels, luxury homes, high end retail stores, bars & restaurants. My experience varies from Heritage schemes through to new builds.

To me, Interior Design is about the everyday, creating spaces to experience, live and socialise with an emphasis on human connection. Comfort and wellbeing are at the heart of our designs. Design should be honest and authentic with a complementary use of materials.

As a multi-disciplinary team at ZMA, we can cover all aspects of the design process ensuring the interior design is cohesive and reactive to other areas of a design and build project, from the initial design through to works on site.

Our interior design schemes are delivered through a phased approach in the same way as our architecture schemes.

The key to a successful scheme and a happy client, is understanding how you want to use a space, and your specific requirements and needs. This allows us to translate your desires and requirements into your dream home.

Style Direction

We start by listening and creating a story that can guide the creative process. Firstly, we work with the client to initially develop a style direction before moving onto 3D concept development. This involves visual research, precedents and pinterest! So this is the time to identify any features or styles you love.

3D walk-through & Visualisations

Designing and presenting in 3D ensures we are able to communicate clearly and allow our clients to work through any challenging areas of a design scheme at the concept phase, ensuring the build process on-site to run smoothly. We build the space in 3D, so you can experience and visualise walking through your building, with furniture, lighting and even outward views!

Specification & Costings

We then develop the design and specification of the project where the technical information and costings are produced. This is when we present different materials, textures and samples for you to select, whilst developing your budget for each space simultaneously.

Construction drawings package

Following the specification and costings, a construction drawings package is produced, this includes any built-in furniture, bespoke furniture, lighting design plans, wall and floor finish schedules – basically everything your contractor would need to make the design a reality.

Delivery

We then work directly with the contractor and subcontractors to deliver the designs on-site, guiding and advising throughout the construction stage. We monitor quality, ensuring coherence the designs reflect your original brief at all times.

We are here to guide our clients to craft spaces with longevity to meet their needs, grow with their families and stand the test of time.

If you have a space which needs reimagining, get in touch with what you want to achieve, and we will take it from there.
