Summer has most definitely arrived in the Ribble Valley, and it’s that time of year for BBQ’s,outdoor walks, and designing your new home! It’s also bat surveying season, bird nesting season and the perfect time to take some amazing photography of our finished projects.

In design news, we have just presented a concept design for a contemporary new build eco-home in the Carr Hall / Wheatley Lane Road Conservation Area; we are currently working on transforming a farmhouse in Ribchester located on the River Ribble; and we are also working on a contemporary extension and barn conversion to a Georgian dwelling adjacent to Cromwell’s Bridge in Hurst Green.

In planning news, we have obtained approval for a contemporary new-build eco-home in Edenfield; and we are due to receive the decision on our new-build holistic home in the West Lancashire Greenbelt.

As we commence our 7th year in business, we are currently working behind the scenes on what this means for ZMA as we enter a new chapter for the practice. All will be revealed in the next article…

Summer is a time when you can evaluate if your home works for you, or if there are areas which require improvement. One of our most popular requests when re-designing a property is to ‘bring the outdoors in’, as everyone wants to experience the great outdoors, making the most of the good weather and utilise their gardens to instead ‘bring the indoors out’.

Your garden is an extension of the internal space of your home, where you can create fully functioning spaces to entertain, relax and spend quality time with your family and friends.

When you extend the limits of your project to include your full garden, land or ownership you can create a home that works for you, your extended family members and even your business. Creating your home as a one-stop-shop for everyday living, family gatherings, health and well-being, and good old-fashioned R&R.

You may wish to add more wow-factor to your home, add a leisure space, create a family annexe, or even create a second home or holiday lodge for your family to retreat to.

Ready to start your own project journey? Tell us what you want to achieve, we will then book your free consultation and take it from there.
